There are few indoor public parks like this one. Sunny and 70 degrees all year-round, Edinborough Park is nestled in the heart of Edina and features Adventure Peak, one of the largest indoor play structures in the country. The one-acre park also has a Junior Olympic-size swimming pool, a running track and fitness area, as well as an enormous multi-purpose gym for young ones (toddler through tweens are appropriate), fully decked out with manually powered go-karts and scooters, kid-friendly basketball hoops, hula hoops, jump houses and more.
Standing 44 feet x 44 feet x 37 feet, the climbing, low-crawling, slip-sliding northwoods Adventure Peak is truly one of a kind. Climb into the 30-foot tall oak tree, slide down one of four giant tube slides or wash down the triple wave slide. Navigate across a canyon, scale the climbing wall and venture to the 30-foot high lookout to spy around the park. From the lookout, slide down the very popular—and fast! —super slide.
A toddler area for children ages 4 and under includes climbing, crawling, sliding and bouncing in an inflatable air bounce geared just for them. The padded, netted structure has more than 45 activities to keep kids challenged and entertained for hours. Best yet, it is in a fully enclosed space with only one main set of doors surrounded by amphitheater seating—creating a relaxing, stress-free way for parents to unwind while their kids run wild.
