Every two years a golf course undergoes a coveted transformation for the international stage, converting into an exquisite, temporary village that houses 24 professional golfers and 40,000 passionate spectators. These spectators will root for one of two teams—Europe or the United States of America—as they duke it out for the title of Ryder Cup Champion. This year, Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska plays host to the tournament Sept. 27 to Oct. 2, catapulting the course into top-tier golf fame. Hazeltine is one of only two courses in the United States to have hosted every premier golf championship by the United States Golf Association & Professional Golfers’ Association of America. Its par 72, 18-hole course is a picturesque environment that runs the gamut of Minnesota’s geography.
