In the Twin Cities, you can mountain bike without the mountain–thanks to some local innovation.

Take to the trails at one of the Twin Cities mountain bike trails. Whether you are a skilled rough rider or a novice on the dirt path, we have the route for you.

Enjoy scenic views while getting in a great workout on the trail system in Battle Creek Regional Park, located in the eastern part of St. Paul. Trails range in length and difficulty, from 3- to 5-mile multi-use and singletrack trails. Pedal through thick woods, down steep hills and across outcrops overlooking the Mississippi River.

Built to accommodate all skill levels, the singletrack trail in Elm Creek Park Reserve is the largest of its kind in the northern metro, totaling 12.7 miles of trails ranging from easy to skilled. The sustainable design, created and maintained in partnership with Minnesota Off-Road Cyclists, reduces erosion and maintenance needs, and is closed during wet conditions.
