This meat-centric restaurant takes fine dining down South.

Revival is like a trip down south with the fried chicken Minneapolis deserves, inspired by Tennessee hot and Southern style fried chicken. It’s a delicate mix of fine dining skills, family hospitality, thoughtful wine pairings and food that will leave you licking your fingers. But chicken isn’t the only meat on the menu; a burger made from house-ground, grass-fed beef and a number of pork finds—from pork rinds to pulled pork barbecue to an enormous slab of pork shoulder—are also notable. Revival takes no reservations and is seated first-come, first-serve, which means show up early and come hungry to score a seat at a restaurant that’s well worth the wait. The restaurant has been so popular that a larger, second St. Paul location is slated to open summer 2016, only one year after the first spot opened its doors.
