The X Games will be rolling into Minneapolis from July 13 to 16, and will feature some of the biggest names in BMX, skateboarding and moto x, including Nyjah Huston, Ryan Nyquist, Pamela Rosa, Jackson Strong and more competing for coveted X Games gold. There will be activities for all ages on the Medtronic Plaza at U.S. Bank Stadium and neighboring Downtown East Commons with X Fest, and select events at the Mall of America in Bloomington.

X Fest

Ground zero for the extended weekend, X Fest will house interactive courses, concessions, athlete meet and greets, and more. The festivals kicks off the competition Thursday, July 13 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with free-to-watch Skateboard and BMX Vert (an event ticket is required for access to X Fest Friday through Sunday).

X Fest will also be home to the X Fest Stage, where live entertainment from DJ Shannon Blowtorch, DJ Livia & DJ Precious, TJ Mizell, Red Baraat, The Flavor Savers and White Reaper will provide the soundtrack to the four adrenaline-packed days.

And the outdoor festivities are just ramping up. X Games Minneapolis has teamed up with some of the best artistic talent the Twin Cities has to offer for live paintings and other large displays of creativity. Visitors to local artist Mark Rivard’s studio will be able to create their own board design, and Creative City Challenge’s installation will educate visitors on the effects of climate change on bird species. Other artists participating in X Games Minneapolis include: Hot Tea, Biafra, WUNDR, Greg Gossel, Adam Turman, Dinky Donalds, Wes Winship, Jeremy Wright and Andrew Broder.

Dream of standing atop the podium and donning X Games gold yourself? You can put your skills to the test on the professionally designed Skateboard Street, Skateboard Pump Track and BMX Park interactive courses by Sour Punch Next X Parks, as well as learn the secrets of the pros during daily demos.
