Do the Twin Cities have classical music ensembles?
You bet we do! The Minnesota Orchestra is a professional orchestra that performs regularly at Orchestra Hall, a stunning venue in downtown Minneapolis that recently underwent a renovation. Conducted by Osmo Vänskä, the orchestra performs everything from classics to modern titles to movie scores. We highly recommend attending one of their movie performances, in which the orchestra plays along with a film projected on a screen behind the stage—a unique combination of going to the movies and hearing a classical music ensemble.
