Water Cruising

Whether you prefer a serene afternoon of gently cruising along shoreline or want to “hit it” and spend the day speeding around a lake skiing or tubing, the Twin Cities have plenty of spots to choose from. Public water access makes it easy to drop your boat into the water and set sail for the day. And just in case you didn’t haul your own personal yacht here with you, we have several trusted boat rentals to get you on the water.

Lake Minnetonka

Located in the western suburbs of Minneapolis, Lake Minnetonka is the largest lake in the area, clocking in at a whopping 14,000 acres in size. Its vast network of smaller lakes and channels stretches from Wayzata in the east all the way to Mound in the west.

Lake Waconia

The Twin Cities' second-largest lake is an oasis surrounded by farmland.

Medicine Lake

Public water access, beaches, and a nearby park make Medicine Lake a destination for outdoor fun.
