Shortly after Spoon and Stable opened, a 10 p.m. reservation on a Friday night was going for $50 on Craigslist. Pay a visit to the North Loop restaurant and you’ll see why. With such talents as Gavin Kaysen (New York-trained chef extroardinaire), Diane Yang (imaginative pastry chef) and Robb Jones (mixologist master), everything on the menu is delectable and refined, sort of like the neighborhood it resides in. The dessert menu changes seasonally, typically paying homage to the restaurant’s French influences. The end of each meal comes with a tin of petit fours and macarons, but trust us, you’ll still want to order off the menu for further exploration of sweetness.
