STILLWATER

One of Minnesota's most picturesque and charming cities,
Stillwater is truly a mix of historic and modern.

With a nickname like “The Birthplace of Minnesota,” the city better deliver on historical charm, right? Don’t worry, Stillwater has it in spades. Situated on the beautiful St. Croix River, the city’s historic main street shopping, dining, lodging and entertainment are what makes it one of the state’s most popular and alluring cities. Ride the river and take in the sights of the majestic bluffs and greenery on one of St. Croix Boat & Packet Co.’s dinner cruises, or move to the beat of your own drum and captain a vessel from Stillwater Boat Club or Ole Sawmill Marina if you don’t have a dinghy or yacht of your own. And be sure to visit Nelson’s Ice Cream. Their softball-sized portions and long list of flavors are legendary among visitors and residents.
