Located just northwest of Minneapolis, Maple Grove is one of the fastest-growing suburbs in the Twin Cities. Apartments, scenic single-family homes and townhouses occupy this area with easy access to a bustling downtown and serene green areas with 36 miles of trails and parks. Family-friendliness is a staple in Maple Grove, which boasts plenty of playgrounds and an expansive library uniquely shaped like an open book.

Elm Creek Park Reserve, the largest of Hennepin County’s parks at 4,900 acres, offers expansive acreage for kids to explore outside year-round. The Look Out is a favorite for residents and visitors, as it offers delicious eats alongside perfect views of the Minneapolis skyline.

This outdoor lover’s paradise features disc golf and mountain biking in the summer and cross-country and downhill skiing and snow tubing in the winter. Plus, due to a provision that requires developers to fund trails and green space, Maple Grove also has a 36-mile loop of paved paths that runs through the city.

Residents gather, at Town Green, located alongside one of the area’s 10 lakes, an amphitheater that hosts music, dance and movies, as well as the nearby library and community center, which houses a mini indoor water park, Olympic-sized ice arena and skate park. While Maple Grove doesn’t have a traditional downtown, the area surrounding the open-air The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes fulfills that need, with more than 150 shops, restaurants and other businesses filling the town-like streets.
