Are There Any Twin Cities Brewery Tours?

by | Sep 20, 2016 | Tales From the Road

Most Twin Cities breweries offer behind-the scenes tours on the weekends, so there is no shortage there. Some of the best tours are at Surly Brewing Co. (Tuesdays-Sundays), Summit Brewing (Thursdays-Saturdays), Indeed Brewing Co. (Saturdays), Fulton Brewery (Saturdays) and 612Brew (Sundays; cost is free with a food donation!).

If you’re looking to brewery hop and want to tour several facilities, your best bet is Twin Cities Brewery Tours. They offer public tours Thursday-Sunday and transport you to three different breweries by an “open air fun bus,” then end the evening at a restaurant. However, they have tons of different tours (both public and private), so I would take a good look at the website to see what best suits your interests. Other great options are Bitter Minnesota Brewery Tours, which operates seven days a week and also offers public and private tours, or Hoppy Trolly Craft Brewery Tours Thursday-Sunday.

Also, if you’re in the mood for some spirits, you can tour quite a few distilleries including Norseman Distillery, Tattersall Distilling, Du Nord Craft Spirits and more

As far as other culinary tours, Twin Cities Food Tours are offering the Historic Northeast Tour and you hit a bunch of different cuisines—Eastern European, Italian, Tibetan and Greek. Also check out Taste Twin Cities and Renee’s Royal Valet Tours for more options!
